Carnival

The Platja d'Aro Carnival is one of the most notable and eagerly awaited festivals on the Costa Brava, attracting thousands of visitors from all over Catalonia and beyond. Usually held around February, this carnival is characterised by its wide variety of activities and the active participation of local residents and organisations.

The highlight is the grand parade of floats, in which different troupes and groups of friends present spectacular creations, both in design and theme.
