Patrocini Pilgrimage

The Aplec del Patrocini is held in the iconic Church of Santa Maria de Fenals. A solemn mass accompanied by songs of joy marks the beginning of the celebration.

At the end of the celebration, the attendees gather for an aperitif as they enjoy the privileged viewpoint, given the location of the Church, which is regarded as one of the most important elements in Platja d'Aro's heritage. It was the main parish church of the town for over 400 years, until the opening of the current one in 1959. However, beyond its religious importance, the Church of Santa Maria de Fenals has a rich history dating back to the 16th century, when it replaced the 10th-century Romanesque church of Fenals d'Amunt.
