Tourism for all seal
The Baix Empordà Tourist Accessibility Plan, to which our municipality is adhered, is a project promoted by the Tourism Area of the County Council with the aims of highlighting the county as an accessible tourist destination and generating a new distinctive and qualitative value in the tourist competitiveness on offer in Baix Empordà.
This project's recipients are, primarily, all the public and private spaces that form part of the tourist offer and want to improve their tourist accessibility. The final recipients are tourists, visitors and anyone who has some kind of physical, motor, sensory or intellectual) disability, reduced mobility or special needs and, obviously, the other customers who will use the establishment or accessible space in much greater safety and comfort.
In 2024, 40 companies and tourist services in the county received the "Tourism for all seal. 10 of the above 40 are from the municipality of Castell d'Aro, Platja d'Aro i S'Agaró (which accounts for 25% of the certified offer in the county), which demonstrates the engagement and awareness of the public and private sectors in terms of accessibility.
