Six competition categories with €11,000 in prizes
The Grand Float and Troupe Parade of the Platja d'Aro Carnival 2026 took place this Saturday, February 14, with 68 groups competing in the contest category (afternoon), featuring more than 5,000 performers. They were accompanied at the head of the parade by the Carnival Kings and Queens' troupes from the towns of the Vall d'Aro area, delighting tens of thousands of spectators with their choreographies, formations, and performances.
The prize-giving ceremony - with a total prize fund of €11,000 - was held that same evening at the Sports and Congress Palace as part of the Carnival dance, enlivened by Fundación Ibiza. Earlier that Saturday at midday, an exhibition parade was also held with the participation of 5 groups and 250 performers, although outside the competition.
