Biennal of Tapestry Exhibition

Collective exhibition of tapestries by local artists, featuring more than twenty textile compositions created using different techniques and materials, with a wide variety of tapestries ranging from abstract to landscapes, nature and the human figure.

This exhibition, which revives traditional craftsmanship in its purest form, has been made possible thanks to the dedication and voluntary involvement of two local organisations: the Tapestry Association of Castell d'Aro, Platja d'Aro and S'Agaró, and the Tapestry Association of Alt Lliç and Cistelleria Artesana del Baix Empordà, both of which are offering their work to be exhibited in the exhibition space at Castell de d'Aro.

The council continues to promote local art. So when autumn arrives and we seek warmth, we find it at home. Benedormiens Castle opens its doors and invites us in to enjoy a year of the Biennal de Tapís, which showcases textile art creations, and the following year, the Local Artists Biennial, which displays works of drawing, painting and sculpture.
